Balicassiao
Dicrurus balicassius (Linnaeus, 1766)

Balicassiao is a passerine of the drongo family found in the northern and west-central Philippines, including Luzon and the West Visayas. It lives in tropical moist lowland forests, both primary and secondary, up to 1,200 metres above sea level. It is a Philippine endemic and is placed in Dicrurus. Three subspecies are recognised, with one on North Luzon, one across parts of Luzon and nearby islands, and one on several Visayan islands. The last has a white belly and may prove to be a separate species.
