Bamboo Antshrike, Cymbilaimus sanctaemariae, is a passerine of the antbird family that lives in south-west Amazonia, in Bolivia, Brazil and Peru. It was described by Gyldenstolpe in 1941. It is closely tied to bamboo, especially stands of Guadua in humid lowland and foothill forest, and it usually keeps to the upper parts of that growth. It also uses dense vine tangles in floodplain forest, where it may range from the middle storey to the canopy. Its range reaches about 1,450 m, and it is presumed to remain in the same area throughout the year.
