Bamenda Apalis

Apalis bamendae

The Bamenda Apalis is a small, insectivorous bird species found in the highland forests and montane grasslands of the Bamenda Highlands in Cameroon. It has a distinctive olive-green upper body and a yellow underbelly, with a black mask across its eyes. This species is known for its melodious and varied song, often heard during the breeding season. The Bamenda Apalis is highly territorial and forms monogamous pairs during the breeding season. It forages for insects and small invertebrates in the dense undergrowth of its habitat.
