Band-tailed Antwren, Myrmotherula urosticta, is a bird of the Atlantic Forest in eastern and south-eastern Brazil, with its breeding range in coastal Bahia and northern Rio de Janeiro state. It was described by Sclater in 1857 and belongs to the antbird family. The species is small and short-tailed, and the adult male shows grey upperparts, a dark tail with a broad white terminal band, and black on the throat and upper breast. The female is paler above, with a white throat and pale cinnamon-buff underparts. It is a resident bird of lowland forest.
