Banded Parisoma, Curruca boehmi, breeds in north-east Africa, with its range in Ethiopia, Kenya, Somalia and Tanzania. It is a member of the Sylviidae family and is associated with dry savanna. The bird is marked by grey upperparts, white underparts and a dark band across the chest. Its throat shows variable spotting, and it also has white areas on the wing and outer tail, with buff tones on the belly and undertail.
