Banggai Scops Owl, Otus mendeni, is an owl of the Banggai Islands east of Sulawesi in Indonesia. It belongs to the family Strigidae and the order Strigiformes. First described by Neumann in 1939, it was once treated as part of the Sulawesi Scops Owl before the IOC recognised it as a separate species in 2021. Its breeding range is confined to Banggai Is. (e of Sulawesi).
