Bannerman's Shearwater (Puffinus bannermani) is a medium-sized seabird that belongs to the shearwater family. This species is endemic to the Cape Verde Islands in the eastern Atlantic Ocean. It has a dark plumage with a distinctive white patch on the underwing. Bannerman's Shearwater is a pelagic species, spending most of its life at sea and returning to land only to breed. It nests in burrows on remote islands and feeds on small fish and squid. Due to its limited range and small population, this species is vulnerable to threats such as habitat degradation and introduced predators.
