Bannerman's weaver (Ploceus bannermani) is a small passerine bird native to West Africa. This species is known for its striking yellow and black plumage, with males displaying a bright yellow crown and black mask. Bannerman's weavers are highly social birds, often found in large colonies building intricate, woven nests in trees. They primarily feed on insects and seeds, foraging in open woodland and savanna habitats. Despite their localized distribution, they are not currently considered to be at risk and are listed as Least Concern by the IUCN.
