Arborophila brunneopectus (Blyth, 1855)

Bar-backed Partridge, Arborophila brunneopectus, is a galliform bird of the Phasianidae family that breeds in south-east Asia. It was first described by Blyth in 1855. Its range includes Cambodia, China, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand and Vietnam, and it lives in moist lowland and montane forest. It is usually found below 3,000 feet, though it has been recorded above 5,000 feet. The species is mostly buff, with black on the face, throat, crown and back, red eyelids, and wing feathers that are white with black tips and some brown near the rear.
