Actinodura nipalensis

The Bar-throated Minla is a small passerine bird found in the eastern Himalayas and parts of Southeast Asia. It is characterized by its distinctive blue-grey upperparts, bright yellow underparts, and a striking black throat patch. This species is often found in mixed-species foraging flocks in montane forests, where it feeds on insects, berries, and small fruits. The Bar-throated Minla is known for its melodious and varied song, often heard during the breeding season. While not currently considered threatened, habitat loss and fragmentation are potential future threats to this species.
