Bar-winged Wren-Babbler, Spelaeornis troglodytoides, is a bird of the Himalayas through to central China, with a range that also includes Bhutan, India and Myanmar. It belongs to the babbler family and was described by Verreaux in 1871. It is associated with subtropical or tropical moist montane forest. The species shows variation across its range, and three subspecies are recognised: sherriffi from eastern Bhutan and Arunachal Pradesh, indiraji from Arunachal Pradesh, and souliei from northern Arunachal Pradesh, Myanmar and southern China.
