Bare-faced Bulbul, Nok hualon, is a passerine bulbul found in central Laos. It is known from the limestone karst near Pha Lom, where steep ground, bare rock and low deciduous growth shape the habitat. Its most striking feature is a bare pink face with bluish skin around the eyes, making it one of the few Asian songbirds without facial feathers. The bird was first described in 2009 and is the first bulbul from Asia to be named in nearly a hundred years.
