Bare-legged Owl, Margarobyas lawrencii, is an owl of Cuba in the family Strigidae. It is the only species in its genus and is found on the island of Cuba, including Isla de la Juventud. Its most notable feature is the featherless green-yellow legs that give it its name. It lives in dry forest, lowland moist forest and heavily altered former woodland, with a particular preference for palm stands. It nests in tree holes, especially old woodpecker cavities in palms, as well as natural tree openings and rock crevices.
