Atlapetes seebohmi (Taczanowski, 1883)

Bay-crowned Brushfinch, Atlapetes seebohmi, is a passerine of the New World sparrow family in far south-west Ecuador and west-central Peru. It was first described by Taczanowski in 1883. In Ecuador it occurs from Loja Province south into northern Peru’s Tumbes Department, while in Peru it ranges along the Pacific side of the Andes south through much of Ancash Department. It lives in montane scrub, and in the understorey and margins of montane woodland. The species is a year-round resident, and the sexes are alike.
