Behn's antwren

Myrmotherula behni

The Behn's antwren is a small passerine bird found in the Amazon rainforest of South America. It is known for its distinctive black and white plumage, with the male having a black crown and the female having a white throat. These birds are often found in the understory of dense, humid forests, where they forage for insects and small invertebrates. Behn's antwrens are known for their high-pitched, insect-like calls and their active foraging behavior. While their population status is not well-documented, they are believed to be at low risk of extinction due to their wide distribution and lack of major threats.
