Bell's Vireo

Bell's Vireo (Vireo brevipennis) is a small songbird found in the southwestern United States and northern Mexico. This species is known for its distinctive song, a series of rapid, repeated phrases. Bell's Vireos inhabit open woodlands, scrublands, and riparian areas, where they forage for insects and spiders in the foliage. They build cup-shaped nests in dense shrubs or low trees, often near water sources. Bell's Vireos are olive-green above and white below, with a faint white eyebrow and a gray cap. They are small, slender birds with a length of about 4.5 inches. The conservation status of Bell's Vireo is of Least Concern according to the IUCN Red List.
