Bendire's Thrasher

Bendire's Thrasher (Campylorhynchus griseus) is a medium-sized songbird found in the southwestern United States and northern Mexico. It has a distinctive long, curved bill and a brownish-gray plumage with subtle streaking on the underparts. This thrasher is known for its melodious and complex song, often heard during the breeding season. It is primarily a ground forager, feeding on insects, seeds, and fruits. Bendire's Thrashers are typically found in arid and semi-arid habitats, including desert scrub, chaparral, and open woodlands. Despite some habitat loss, they are still relatively common and are not currently considered at risk.
