Bengal Bush Lark, Plocealauda assamica, is a lark in the family Alaudidae and a passerine bird of the Oriental Region, breeding from northern India through southern Nepal, Bhutan and Bangladesh to western Myanmar. It is a resident breeder across this range. A distinctive feature is its short tail and sturdy bill. It is found in dry, open, stony places with scattered shrubs, and also in cultivated land. The bird was described by Horsfield in 1840. It is also known as the rufous-winged lark.
