Certhilauda benguelensis
The Benguela Long-billed Lark is a small, ground-dwelling bird found in southwestern Africa. It has a distinctively long bill, which it uses to forage for seeds and insects in its arid, scrubby habitat. This lark is well-adapted to the semi-desert environment, with its cryptic plumage providing camouflage against the sandy and rocky terrain. The Benguela Long-billed Lark is known for its melodious and far-carrying song, which it uses to establish territories and attract mates during the breeding season.
