Biscutate Swift, Streptoprocne biscutata, is a swift of the family Apodidae that breeds in South America, with records from Brazil, Argentina and Bolivia, and a possible presence in Paraguay. It is a colonial cave-nesting bird that uses ledges or vertical walls for its nest. The nest is made from lichen, bryophytes, other plant matter and soil. It has two subspecies, and the northern form is smaller. The species was described by Sclater, PL, 1866.
