Bismarck Monarch, Symposiachrus verticalis, is a bird of the Bismarck Archipelago in Papua New Guinea, where it breeds in Australasia. It belongs to the monarch family and was first described by Sclater in 1877. It is confined to the Bismarck Archipelago and is also found in subtropical or tropical moist lowland forest. The species has two recognised subspecies, including the Djaul form from Djaul Island. It was once placed in Monarcha before being transferred to Symposiachrus in 2009.
