Black-and-red Broadbill, Cymbirhynchus macrorhynchos, is a passerine in the typical broadbill family and breeds across south-east Asia, Sumatra and Borneo. It is the only member of its genus. This bird is notable for its maroon underparts, black upperparts, maroon neck band and white wing bars, together with a large bill that is blue and yellow. Females are smaller than males. No other bird in its range is like it, although the black-and-yellow broadbill has a similar call. It lives in lowland river forest and also uses disturbed woodland near rivers.
