Black-and-white Mannikin

The Black-and-white Mannikin, also known as the Nigrita bicolor, is a small passerine bird native to Africa. It is characterized by its striking black and white plumage, with a black head and upperparts, and white underparts. These birds are often found in open woodland, grassland, and savanna habitats, where they forage for seeds and small insects. They are known for their acrobatic flight and social behavior, often forming large flocks outside of the breeding season. The Black-and-white Mannikin is not currently considered to be at risk, and its population is stable.
