Black-and-white Tody-Flycatcher, Poecilotriccus capitalis, is a passerine of the tyrant flycatcher family found in western and south-western Amazonia. It occurs in Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador and Peru. It is a small forest bird that lives along the edges of lowland and foothill terra firme forest, especially where there are vines and bamboo, and it also uses secondary forest without bamboo. It is a resident throughout the year. The species is monotypic, and the male and female differ in plumage.
