Black-backed Barbet, Pogonornis minor, is an African barbet in the family Lybiidae and breeds in south-central and west-central Africa. It occurs in Gabon, Angola, Zambia, the Republic of the Congo and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. It is associated with riverine woodland and the margins of forest. The name white-faced barbet has also been used for this bird, but it is now applied to Pogonornis macclounii, which is treated as a subspecies of Pogonornis minor.
