Black-backed Forktail Enicurus immaculatus is a passerine of the Muscicapidae family that breeds in the Himalayas and north-west Thailand. It was first described by Hodgson in 1836. A forktail of fast-flowing rivers and streams in forested country, it is recognised by the broad white band on the forehead, the black upperparts and the white underparts set off by a sharp division. The tail is long, deeply forked and black, with a white tip and three white bars formed by the shorter feathers.
