Black-billed Barbet, Lybius guifsobalito, is an African barbet found in Eritrea and Ethiopia through north-east Democratic Republic of the Congo, Uganda, western Kenya and north-west Tanzania. It belongs to the family Lybiidae and was described by Hermann in 1783. It is a medium-sized species with a strong black bill and a bare grey face. The plumage is glossy blue-black, with some browner tones on the wings and belly, and the face, throat and upper chest are red or red-orange. Young birds are less vivid than adults.
