Aphanotriccus audax (Nelson, 1912)

Black-billed Flycatcher Aphanotriccus audax is a passerine of humid forest in Panama and northern Colombia, where it occurs in eastern Panama, including Darién, and in the north of Colombia. It is a member of the Tyrannidae family and was first described by Nelson in 1912. The species is associated with mature tropical forest, especially low, dense growth beside streams and swamps, and it is also linked with bamboo stands. It is a year-round resident. Its breeding period is known to run from March to June.
