Black-billed Peewee

The Black-billed Peewee, also known as the Colombian Pewee, is a small tyrant flycatcher found in the Andes of South America. It has a distinctive black bill, olive-brown upperparts, and pale underparts. This species is known for its distinctive call, a plaintive 'pee-a-wee' which gives it its name. It inhabits montane forests and edges, often near streams or clearings. The Black-billed Peewee feeds on insects, catching them in mid-air or from perches. Its conservation status is currently listed as Least Concern by the IUCN.
