Black-breasted Thrush, Turdus dissimilis, is a thrush of the Oriental Region, ranging from north-eastern India to northern Vietnam. It was described by Blyth in 1847 and belongs to the family Turdidae in the order Passeriformes. The species is linked with moist montane forest at higher elevations, and also occurs in other forested habitats, shrubland and mangroves above the tide line. Males and females share the same lower plumage, but the sexes differ above, with the male showing black on the head, neck and breast and the female being grey-brown.
