Black-browed Fulvetta, Alcippe grotei, is a passerine in the Leiothrichidae family and breeds in south-east Thailand, Cambodia, central and southern Laos, and Vietnam. It was described by Delacour in 1936. It is associated with moist montane evergreen forest, nearby secondary growth and bamboo. The species is mainly found below 400 m. Two subspecies are recognised, with A. g. eremita in south-eastern Thailand and A. g. grotei in northern and central Annam and adjoining Laos.
