The Black-capped Antwren (Formicivora grantsaui) is a small passerine bird found in the Atlantic Forest of Brazil. This species is known for its distinctive black cap and white underparts, with the male displaying a black back and the female having a chestnut back. They are often found in the understory of dense forests, where they forage for insects and small invertebrates. The Black-capped Antwren is known for its high-pitched vocalizations and complex duetting behavior during the breeding season. Despite facing habitat loss and fragmentation, this species is currently considered to be of Least Concern by the IUCN.
