Black-capped Becard

Pachyramphus marginatus

The Black-capped Becard is a small, insectivorous bird found in the forests and woodlands of Central and South America. It is known for its distinctive black cap and white throat, with a grayish body and wings. This species is often observed foraging for insects and small fruits in the mid to upper levels of the forest canopy. The Black-capped Becard is known for its melodious, whistled song, which it uses to communicate with its mate and defend its territory. While not currently considered threatened, habitat loss and fragmentation are potential threats to its populations.
