Black-capped Tinamou, Crypturellus atrocapillus, is a tinamou in the family Tinamidae and the order Tinamiformes. It occurs in South America, with breeding range in Peru and Bolivia. It lives in moist forest lowlands in subtropical and tropical areas, and has been recorded up to 900 m. The species is native to southeastern Peru and northern Bolivia. The male incubates the eggs and then raises the young until they are independent, usually after 2–3 weeks.
