Black-capped Warbling Finch, Microspingus melanoleucus, is a bird of the Thraupidae family that breeds in South America from central Bolivia to central Argentina and Uruguay. It occurs in Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Paraguay and western Uruguay. Its range includes subtropical and tropical dry forest, dry shrubland, and high-altitude shrubland. Described by d'Orbigny and Lafresnaye in 1837, it belongs to the order Passeriformes.
