Black-chinned Siskin, Spinus barbatus, is a finch of southern South America, breeding in southern Chile, southern Argentina and the Falkland Islands. It is the most southerly member of its genus. On the mainland it uses tall conifer and broadleaf forest, as well as more open ground with brush, thickets and Nothofagus shrubs, and it also turns up in suburban gardens. On the Falklands it is linked with tall tussock grass and introduced trees and shrubs. It is a partial migrant, with many birds moving downslope after breeding.
