Black Cicadabird, Edolisoma melas, is a bird of New Guinea and the Aru Islands in Australasia. It belongs to the cuckooshrike family, Campephagidae, and is part of the passerine order. Its breeding range covers New Guinea and its satellite islands. It occurs in moist lowland forest and in mangrove forest in tropical and subtropical areas. The species was described by Lesson in 1828.
