Black-faced Antthrush

The Black-faced Antthrush is a small, secretive bird found in the understory of humid forests in Central and South America. It is known for its distinctive black face and chestnut-colored plumage. This species forages on the forest floor, using its long legs to hop and walk while searching for insects and small invertebrates. Its haunting, flute-like song can often be heard in the early morning or late evening. The Black-faced Antthrush is considered a species of Least Concern by the IUCN, as it has a wide distribution and is not currently facing significant threats.
