Black-faced Munia, Lonchura molucca, is a passerine of the Estrildidae family that breeds in Australasia across the Sulawesi region, the Moluccas, the Lesser Sundas, and Gag and Kofiau in the Raja Ampat Islands west of north-west New Guinea. It is a bird of Indonesia and East Timor, and it uses a broad spread of habitats, from parks and gardens to forest, grassland and savannah. Its face, throat and upper breast are black, with dark brown on the nape and back, black wings and tail, and white underparts and rump marked with fine black speckling or bars.
