Black-fronted Bulbul

Pycnonotus nigricans

The Black-fronted Bulbul (Pycnonotus nigricans) is a small passerine bird found in the forests and woodlands of Southeast Asia. It is characterized by its black forehead, olive-green upperparts, and yellow underparts. This species is known for its melodious and varied songs, often heard in the early morning and late afternoon. Black-fronted Bulbuls are primarily frugivorous, feeding on a variety of fruits, berries, and insects. They are often observed in small groups, foraging in the canopy and mid-levels of the forest. Although not currently considered threatened, habitat loss and fragmentation pose potential risks to their populations.
