Black-fronted Tyrannulet, Phylloscartes nigrifrons, is a passerine of the tyrant flycatcher family that breeds in the tepuis of South America, mainly in Venezuela with a small extension into western Guyana and far north-western Brazil. It lives in humid montane evergreen forest, using both the interior and the margins, and also occurs in mature secondary forest with Melastomataceae. The species was first described in 1884 and is monotypic. It is a year-round resident. Its breeding biology is not known.
