The Black Hawk-Eagle, scientifically known as Spizaetus tyrannus, is a striking bird of prey found in the forests of Central and South America. This raptor is known for its powerful build, broad wings, and distinctive black and white plumage. With a wingspan of around 120-150 cm, the Black Hawk-Eagle is a formidable hunter, preying on a variety of small mammals, birds, and reptiles.
