Black-headed Tailorbird Orthotomus nigriceps is a passerine of the Cisticolidae family in the eastern Mindanao group of the southern Philippines. It is confined to the Oriental Region there, and its range is limited to Mindanao, Dinagat and Siargao. The bird lives in thick lowland forest growth, where it stays in the understorey. Its most notable feature is that it shows three plumage forms linked to age: adults, immature birds and juveniles each look different. It was described by Tweeddale in 1878.
