Black-lored Parrot, Tanygnathus gramineus, is a parrot of montane Buru in the western Moluccas, within Australasia. It is confined to the Indonesian island of Buru and is mainly associated with the island’s higher forests. The bird has black lores and a turquoise crown, and males have red beaks while females are grey-brown. Its voice is high pitched and lasts longer than that of similar parrots. It was described by Gmelin in 1788.
