Black Noddy, Anous minutus, is a seabird of the tropical and subtropical Pacific and Atlantic oceans, with very local breeding in the north-east Indian and Caribbean seas. It belongs to the gull, tern and skimmer family and was named by Boie in 1844. It is marked by dark plumage and a pale crown, with a small white crescent below each eye and a white mark above. Its bill is black, the tail is short, and the feet are fully webbed.
