Black Oriole, Oriolus hosii, is a bird of montane Sarawak in north-central Borneo, within the Oriental Region. It belongs to the family Oriolidae and was described by Sharpe in 1892. Its range is confined to Borneo, and it is one of the least familiar orioles. It is part of a group of red and black orioles that includes the black-and-crimson, maroon and silver orioles. Its natural home is subtropical or tropical moist montane forest. The name honours Charles Hose, who obtained the first specimen on Mount Dulit.
