Apalis personata

The Black-throated Apalis is a small, insect-eating bird found in the forests and woodlands of eastern and southern Africa. It is characterized by its olive-green upperparts, black throat and breast, and white belly. This species is known for its distinctive high-pitched, melodious song. It forages for insects and small invertebrates in the understory of forests, often in mixed-species flocks. The Black-throated Apalis is known for its agile and acrobatic movements as it searches for food. Although not currently classified by the IUCN, its population is believed to be stable across its range.
