Black-throated Munia, Lonchura kelaarti, is a passerine of India and Sri Lanka in the Oriental Region, where it breeds in the hills of southwest India, the Western Ghats, the Eastern Ghats and Sri Lanka. It is a resident bird of open hill woodland and cultivated areas. The species is a small, gregarious estrildid finch with a long black tail. Its nest is a large domed grass structure placed in a tree or in creepers on a house, and it lays white eggs.
