Black-throated Parrotbill, Suthora nipalensis, is a passerine of the Paradoxornithidae family found in the Oriental Region from Nepal to north-west Thailand. It occurs in the central and eastern Himalayas and in nearby parts of south-east Asia, with a range that includes Bhutan, India, Laos, Myanmar, Nepal, Thailand, Tibet and Vietnam. It is associated with subtropical or tropical moist montane forest. The species was described by Hodgson in 1837.
