Black-throated Thrush

Black-throated Thrush, Turdus atrogularis, is a thrush of the Palearctic, breeding from western central Russia through north-central Siberia to north-west Mongolia and spending the non-breeding season in south-west and southern Asia. It was named by Jarocki in 1819. It is a passerine in the thrush family and is now treated as distinct from the red-throated thrush. Its breeding area reaches from the far east of Europe into western Siberia, and its winter range extends from the Middle East to eastern Myanmar.
